Error mitigation on a near-term quantum photonic device

چکیده

Photon loss is destructive to the performance of quantum photonic devices and therefore suppressing effects photon paramount technologies. We present two schemes mitigate for a Gaussian Boson Sampling device, in particular, improve estimation sampling probabilities. Instead using error correction codes which are expensive terms their hardware resource overhead, our require only small amount modifications or even no modification. Our loss-suppression techniques rely either on collecting additional measurement data classical post-processing once obtained. show that with moderate cost post processing, can be significantly suppressed certain loss. The proposed thus key enabler applications near-term devices.
